Billions of hearts weep
…..on the day when Sachin (GOD) retires.
Indians wish that day never comes. It would be one of the most disappointing days of our life. Ever since Indians started watching cricket, it was Sachin, Sachin & only Sachin who made them feel cricket so special. Sachin is only responsible for making cricket a religion in India. They haven’t experienced watching cricket without Sachin. Whether he was injured/rested, there was always a ray of hope that he comes back to team soon. But after retirement, he will never be coming back ………..If anyone wants to achieve anything in life, Sachin is the best example for them.
I feel most people find it hard to digest that Sachin will no more be a part of Indian cricket…….on that day, isn’t it?
JUST imagine that day, when Sachin plays his last game. He comes to bat for the last time, and everybody in the stadium claps & the chants of SACHIN!!! came for the last time after he gets out, while walking back to the pavilion, the entire crowd gives him a standing ovation. Many of them will be in tears, millions of eyes wet watching their hero play for the last time. An era ends. The end of a legend came…… The bond between every generation breaks. Would you miss Sachin a lot? I think most of people would say “YES”. The saddest day of Indian cricket- when the genius retires… :(
LOVE YOU SACHIN !!!

innovative innings........!!!1
Ok first of all great piece - second of all - dont talk of retirement of Sachin - please - it will happen when it will happen - and third of all - I'd buy every video of every ball he has played - and watch tapes - and would never have to watch live cricket - but Sachin! will never - NEVER retire for me. He CAN NOT retire. Sachins never retire. I dont think anyone ( na Bhuto na Bhavishyati) in any era can be what Sachin has been to me and my friends as we grew up watching cricket. I remember rushing home on my bike after school to watch him bat - in the '96 world cup, so blinded were we for hurrying to watch Sachin that one of my friends was hit by a rickshaw - at the hospital - my friends only question was - 'Century mara kya - Sachin ne? - hhaha - I think the game of cricket will retire for me - but not Sachin.
When he is batting, you see the serene form the traditional touch to the helmet - and then the poised stand - and the bowler takes his run up - with the crowd increasing in volume as he nears to delivery - and then the ball leaves the bowlers hand - this is when there is an unexplained constriction of the heart - partly out of fear that he might get out - partly out of anticipation - that this will be a magical shot - and when he connects to the ball - there is no sound sweeter than that - and as you see the ball race to the boundary - your heart lets go and swells with pride - lungs begin to breathe again - Only and ONLY SACHIN CAN DO THAT. And then you scream with joy as you and your friends bang empty pepsi bottles crying SAAAACHIN SAAAACHIN - DHA DHA DHA!!! turning the house into a chaotic mess - that neither parents nor neighbors nor cops or anyone can control. That my friend is Sachin - he has lived in the missed and breathing heart beats of every Indian child.
I dont think there is a medal or an honor higher than that.
Sincerely,
- Sanket
awesome work vasanth
